What: Ice castle Where: Riverwalk Center, Breckenridge, CO When: Weekdays 2-10PM; Weekends 12-10PM, through March Why: Just see it on a sunny day Cost: $10 adults, $8 kids 4-11 Info
The Breckenridge Ice Castle is sculpted and constructed one icicle at a time, all 5,000 of them. So get ready to see and walk through an actual ice castle. Ice sparkles oh-so-pretty in the sun, so good thing Colorado is such a sunny state. Expect to be amazed by towers, tunnels, archways, caves, caverns and (safe!) pathways that are glittery, sparkly and wonderful. The Ice Castle continues to grow throughout the winter, so if you see it now in the early incarnation, you may be in for a surprise come February. It also is the highest ice castle that they’re building this year, so it should theoretically last the longest! Adults and kiddos alike, this is the Breckenridge event for you. Cinderella’s domicile can’t even compare.
