Carer Year 7 Parents' Evening I am writing

19 April 2016 Dear Parent/Carer Year 7 Parents’ Evening I am writing to invite you to attend our Year 7 Parents’ Evening, taking place on Wednesday 27th April, between 4.00pm and 6.30pm. This will be an invaluable opportunity for you to meet your child’s subject teachers to discuss his/her progress. Parents Evening and Report You will receive your child’s report for this academic year on the evening. You will notice that on this report we have asked your child’s subject teachers to indicate whether or not your child is a priority for them to see in order to support their achievement. If any of your child’s subject teachers feels that this is the case then a “Yes” will have been inserted in the column titled, “Want to see Parent?”. Whilst, of course, you may want to see other subject teachers as well, we do ask that you prioritise those teachers who have requested to see you. This will allow both yourselves and teachers to have conversations that will best support your child’s progress this academic year. Go4Schools and Show My Homework There will be regular 10 minute sessions, throughout the evening, for parents to sign up for Go4Schools and a short introduction to understand how it works. Accessing Go4Schools online will allow you to follow your child’s progress and behaviour whenever you like. This will also be an opportunity to understand the portal that the school uses to set Homework, Show My Homework. It is essential that your child attends the evening with you in order for them to be part of the learning and progress conversations that will be taking place. Please fill in and return the enclosed slip to your child’s tutor to confirm your attendance. I look forward to seeing you at what I know will be a very beneficial evening for everyone involved.
