Legal Review: El Executive Summary:
With previous Council direction, guardrails for the Tiner Lane Project were designed by Hanson Engineering. Subsequently, proposals from Garrett Construction were requested. Attached is a proposal by Garrett Construction to install the guardrails at the McCampbell Slough
and the R. C. P. Ditch
crossings.
Taking into consideration the use of materials donated to the City through the efforts of Councilmember Knippa, the cost for installation of the guardrails at these locations is a total
of$ 44, 190. This is lower than the estimate originally provided to Council of$ 52, 000 by Hanson
Engineering.
The
guardrails
are
designed based
on
TXDOT design
requirements.
Impact if Approved:
Tiner Lane will be completed with guardrails installed to enhance the drivability of the project.
Impact if Denied:
Tiner Lane will be completed without guardrails.

guardrails with construction, engineering and inspection is $ 51, 809.
