Pre-School &Primary PFA Monthly Update - March 2015 Upcoming Events The visiting author event was a great success and the children really enjoyed it! Thank you to all those who helped organize it!
PFA General Meeting: Wednesday 11th March, 08:45, Espace Mandela. Come and find out about the latest school news and PFA events - everyone welcome! International Day Meeting: There will be an international day meeting directly after the PFA general meeting on Wednesday 11th March at 09:45, Espace Mandela. International day will be on Saturday 13th June. Book Fair: Sunday 22nd – Thursday 26th March. We will be selling a large variety of French and English language children’s books at pocket-money prices! Families are invited to come and have a look in the Primary School Library on: Sunday 22nd March, (2pm – 5pm) Monday to Wednesday 23-25th March, before and after school Thursday 26th March during the Parent-Teacher Conference Day We need volunteers to help set-up the book fair from lunchtime one Friday 20th March and also people to help sell books during the week itself. Please contact Caroline if you can help [email protected]. Graduation party: The parents who are organizing the Grade 5 graduation party (Monday 22nd June) are still looking for volunteers for the committee. If you would like to be involved, please contact Nana, [email protected]. Pre-school Teacher Appreciation Lunch: The PFA will be organizing a simple buffet lunch in appreciation of all our hard working pre-school teachers on Thursday 26th March. We will be asking for some parent volunteers to bring in a dish for the teachers to share. If any parents would like to help make some paper flowers, please contact Judy, [email protected]. Teacher Innovation Fund: For any teachers who are interested in submitting applications for the fund, the deadline has now been extended to Monday 9th March. Aarohan Charity Update The last used uniform sale will be on Tuesday 17th March, 15:15, Primary school playground. Any donations of (gently) used uniforms are greatly appreciated and can be place in the donation box inside the Pagnol building or in pre-school. Tuesday March 24th will be International Pancake Day! Pancake bakers are needed to make this event successful. Pancakes from across the globe (sweet or savoury) and as many jars of nutella as possible! If you can help please email [email protected]. Finally, thank you for making the Non-Uniform day on the last day of term so successful. Find out how much was raised and where the money will be going on the new Aarohan page on the charity section of the CDL website (http://www.cdl.ch/en/student-life/charities/aarohan). APE Préscolaire et Primaire Bulletin Mensuel – Mars 2015 Prochaines activités
Assemblée générale du PFA: mercredi 11 mars (8h45, Espace Mandela). Tout le monde est bienvenu. Les dernières informations de l'école et du PFA seront communiquées. Réunion – « International Day » Une réunion de préparation de "International Day" se tiendra à l'issue de l'assemblée générale (11 mars, 9h45, Espace Mandela). L'International Day sera organisé le samedi 13 juin. Foire du livre: Dimanche 22 - jeudi 26 mars Nous vendrons une grande variété de livres pour enfants en anglais et en français à prix d'amis. Les familles sont invitées à visiter la bibliothèque du primaire aux dates suivantes: - dimanche 22 de 14h à 17h - du lundi au mercredi avant et après les cours - le jeudi 26, pendant la journée de réunions parents-professeurs. Nous recherchons des volontaires pour installer la Foire sur la pause dejeuner du vendredi 20 mars, mais également pour vendre des livres durant la Foire. Fête de remise des diplômes : Les parents qui organisent la fête de remise des diplômes du Grade 5 (lundi 22 juin) recherchent toujours des volontaires pour leur comité. Si vous souhaitez vous impliquer, merci de contacter Nana ([email protected]). Lunch de remerciement des enseignantes du préscolaire : Le PFA organise un buffet en remerciement des efforts des enseignantes du préscolaire qui se dépensent sans compter pour nos enfants. Il sera organisé le jeudi 26 mars. Les parents volontaires peuvent apporter un plat à partager. Si vous souhaitez aider à préparer des fleurs en papier, merci de contacter Judy ([email protected]). Fonds d'innovation pédagogique. Pour les enseignants souhaitant déposer un dossier, la date-limite a été reportée au lundi 9 mars. Nouvelles de Aarohan La dernière vente d'uniforme de seconde main sera organisée le mardi 17 mars (15h15, plaine de jeux du primaire). Les uniformes (de seconde main, mais en bon état) peuvent être déposés dans la boîte prévue à cet effet au bâtiment Pagnol ou au préscolaire. Mardi 24 mars - Journée internationale de la crêpe. Nous recherchons des volontaires pour confectionner des crêpes issues des quatre coins du monde (sucrées et salées), ainsi que pour fournir des pots de Nutella! Les volontaires peuvent contacter [email protected]. Enfin, merci d'avoir contribué au succès de la journée sans uniforme le dernier jour avant les vacances.
