COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY INTRAMURAL SPORTS RACQUETBALL TOURNAMENT RULES ALL CSU IM SPORTS PARTICIPANTS AND SPECTATORS ARE EXPECTED TO ADHERE TO AND ABIDE BY THE IM SPORTS POLICIES AND PROCEDURES AND CAMPUS RECREATION POLICIES.
I.
ELIGIBILITY – WHO CAN PLAY IM’S? A. HAVE CSU PHOTO ID? YOU CAN PLAY! All participants must show their CSU photo ID in order to play every game. This helps to ensure player eligibility. Please visit the RamCard office’s website to learn about replacements for lost or damaged RamCards. B. FULL-TIME CSU STUDENTS (6 or more credits and have paid the rec activity fee as part of their semester tuition) C. PART-TIME CSU STUDENTS who have a current Rec Membership – one that is valid during the dates they play D. FACULTY/STAFF who have a current Rec Membership – one that is valid during the dates they play E. SPOUSES who have a current Rec Membership – one that is valid during the dates they play F. CSU AFFILIATES who have a current Rec Membership – one that is valid during the dates they play

TOURNAMENT RULES: A. Tournament will be double-elimination. The first two rounds of the bracket will be scheduled for the first night of play, and then all subsequent matches will be arranged by opponents on their own using the online IMLeagues system. All subsequent matches after the first night of play are expected to be played within one week of the preceding matches. B. MATCH LOCATION – All matches will be played at the CSU Moby racquetball courts unless otherwise agreed upon by opponents. C. FORFEITS: Match time listed on the schedule is forfeit time, and players must be checked in and ready to play at their scheduled match time on the first night. IF A PLAYER FORFEITS ANY MATCH DURING THE TOURNAMENT, THEY WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE BRACKET. D. This event is unofficiated. Players will call their own lines and violations. Any dispute about a judgment call that cannot be resolved will result in the point being replayed. Any dispute about a rule during the first night of play will be resolved by the IM Manager on duty.
III.
MATCH RULES: Matches will be governed by USRA rules, with the exceptions, modifications, and highlights listed below. A. All matches will be played as best 2 of 3 games; first 2 games played to 15 points. If a third game is needed, it will be played to 11 points. Games will be capped at 15 and 11 points respectively; it is not required to win by 2. B. A court hinder or ball out of play will result in a replay of the point. C. EQUIPMENT: A. The IM Manager on duty will provide new balls for the first two rounds of play the first night of the tournament. B. Racquets are available for checkout from the equipment desk in the Student Recreation Center and at Moby. C. Players must wear appropriate athletic, closed-toe, closed-heel, non-marking shoes.
