10th November, 2016.

Here are some of the key events taking place up to the Christmas break. Where necessary further information will obviously be sent out closer to the time.

11th November - Remembrance Day 2016 - poppies are available in school. We ask that children wishing to make a donation bring no less than a silver coin. We shall be holding a remembrance day service with the children in St. Mary’s Church.

Monday, 14th November – Thursday 17th November . The Book Fair will be open for children during afternoon break and for parents and children from 3.30 p. m - 3. 45p.m. Children may bring up to £10 in a named envelope to be sent up to the office for safe keeping until afternoon break. Friday, 18th November Children In Need Donation to dress up in anything spotty!

Tuesday, 22nd November 6.p.m. Marrick Priory Residential Visit Meeting for Year 6 parents Thursday, 24th November 6.15p.m

. Badsworth Parish Council Tree Lighting – front of school. Saturday, 26th November Christmas Fair 10.00a.m. - 2.00p.m. School Hall and St. Mary’s Centre

Please come along and help the School Council and FOBS raise funds for the children. There will be stalls, games, Santa, school choir, and refreshments. Each class have made items to sell to try to raise funds for FOBS .

Friday, 2nd December FS, KS1 & KS2 Christmas Film Night Foundation Stage and KS1 - Christmas Cartoons. 3.30p.m. – 5.30p.m.( Parents with children only in FS Yr 1 or Yr 2 please collect at 5.30p.m.) Key Stage 2 - Film to be decided 3.30p.m. – 6.00p.m. (Parents with children in KS1 & KS2 please collect at 6.00p.m) Wednesday, 30th November is the closing date for this event. (Please complete the reply slip)

Friday 2nd December Dress Down Day in exchange for a chocolate donation for the FOBS Christmas Tombola. There is no theme for this. However, the children will be in school all day and possibly remaining for the film night, therefore they need to be comfortable in their choice of clothes for the day. As always, for safety reasons, no heels, strapless footwear, or jewellery. Tuesday, 6th December, 6 p.m. & Wednesday, 7th December, 9.30 a.m. Infant Christmas Performance

Monday, 12th December 6.p.m. Carols & Mince Pies etc.! Thursday, 15th December 2.15p.m. Christingle Service in church

Friday, 16th December school closes for the Christmas holiday and re-opens on Wednesday, 4th January, 2017. (Tuesday, 3rd January = INSET Day – school closed for children)
