Description of El Cajon Classes
Sign up to reserve your space. Supply list provided at time of payment. Class fees do not cover cost of books nor software. Due to copyright laws, if a book or software is on the supply list, you must own the copy you use in class. We cannot make copies. You may purchase your supplies at Sew Pro’s prior to class. Be sure your sewing machine is working properly before class begins. *FEE CLASSES: (1) Full payment of fees is due at registration and must be paid at least 14 days before class begins. (2) You must cancel at least 7 days prior to class to be issued a store credit. (3) We will issue a refund for any class we cancel.
Unisex Boxers: Make these unisex boxers for a fast-and-easy gift. Sew them in a holiday print, flannel, or silk for a man. Comfortable for a woman to sleep in. Made in silk, satin, or crepe de Chine. Kids’ sizes, too. *Fee: $25, plus supplies. This 3-hour class meets at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 7, or Friday, December 12. – Teacher: Rosie Learn to Sew a Basic Shirt: Learn to follow pattern for women, men or children. Sew a collar, make buttonholes and place a pocket. Make a simple denim shirt or colorful Hawaiian shirt. Must have beginning sewing experience and use suggested pattern. *Fee: $60. Meets for 3 hours at 2 p.m. on Thursdays, January 8, 15, & 22. – Teacher: Rosemary Computer 101: This is the class for those of us who need to ask our grandchildren to help us with the computer. If you want to use all of those cute embroidery designs on CD, but don’t have a clue about how to get them into your machine – or how to organize them into files – don’t miss this class. Learn how easy it is to copy designs through the USB port on your sewing machine! Bring your laptop. *Fee: $10 if purchased Embroidery Machine from Sew Pro’s. All others: $50. RSVP to reserve your space. Meets at 2 p.m. on Thursdays, November 20 or February 5. – Teacher: Rosemary T-Shirt Quilt: Have you wanted to make a quilt out of those T-Shirts you’ve collected, but lack the courage to begin? (Quilt-top Only) Fee: $45, plus your supplies. Meets 3 times at 10 a.m. on Fridays Jan. 2, 9, & 16. –Teacher: Rosemary
Adult Patchwork Apron: You can make this adorable little apron with half a yard of fabric and some ribbon. Great for gardening, cooking, or crafting! Fee: $15. This 2-hour class will meet at 10 a.m. Friday, October 17, and Monday, November 17. – Teacher: Rosie
Doll Class: See ad on Page 26 for schedule. – Teacher: Rosemary Scan N Cut Demo: Information on Page 14. Fee: $10. This 2-hour demo meets at 10 a.m., Saturday, October 25; and at 2 p.m., December 4. – Teacher: Rosemary Mommy and Me ELF on Shelf: This is a fun and easy class to do together for Christmas. Make your very own ELF on Shelf doll with minimal sewing and applique. Some sewing experience is required. Children must be at least 8 years old. *Fee: $40, plus supplies. Class meets at 2 p.m. on 2 Saturdays, November 1 and November 8. – Teacher: Rosemary Rag Quilt: It’s a great beginner project. All seams are on the outside, so no one will know if they don't match. The cute frayed edges hide a multitude of sins. *Fee: $27.50, including pattern. Meets 10-2 on Saturday, November 29 or Saturday, February, 14. -- Teacher: Rosie Connectivity: Learn to download designs from a CD through the USB port on your Brother Embroidery Machine, or a Brother re-writable card.
