Building Your Rainbow Bridge
Week One
Welcome to the first week of “Building Your Rainbow Bridge”! On this page you will find notes that correspond to the first class. Week One Goal: Become comfortable with the process of connecting to your Soul Center. This can be achieved through the following steps: • Focusing your energy inside your physical body • Moving your consciousness out of the physical body and up into the Soul Center. • Refer to the next page for an image of moving through the leg of the bridge to the soul center. Step One: Initiate your experience with the color White. This week, our focus is on the color White. As you listen to the first class, go through the meditation with the intention of utilizing White. This is the first leg of your rainbow bridge, so please take your time and be kind to yourself as you get used to the process.
Step Two: Exploring Your Soul Center The Soul Center is a safe place where you can contemplate. This is defined by you, and will look like whatever you choose. Your mind will lead you to a setting that feels the most spiritual to you. Please don’t conjure an image of what you think you are supposed to see. Try different settings and choose the one that feels the best for you. Examples of Soul Center imagery: • Sitting peacefully inside a Tibetan Monastery, a golden space filled with light. You are wearing a soft cotton robe, and you hear monks chanting softly in the background. • You are in a lovely English garden near a tranquil lake. You are resting in a hammock beneath sturdy oak trees, near a patch of fragrant lavender. Softly rolling hills covered in grass surrounds you. Once we are settled in the Soul Center, we are connected to the most divine part of our being. At this point we move into silence. We ask Spirit for what it is that we need to know. This should happen every time we settle in our Soul Center. We ask for meditation, information, and guidance. Be open to the information that you receive, because it may be different than what you are expecting. It may be something very personal and private, but it may also pertain to a friend or something that is going on in the world. During this process you leave your body (similar to soul travel) to connect with wisdom, healing energy, and power. The illustration below is an example of the column of light that we visualize as we connect to our Soul Center. This visualization is a very useful tool for connecting with your higher self, and focusing on the column in your mind’s eye will help you identify your Soul Center more clearly.
Please ask yourself the following questions and note them here or in your journal. You may ask state these questions during the meditation, or at any point when you are feeling quiet and contemplative. What does my Soul Center look like? What message did I receive from my Higher Self?
Step Three: Planetary Service Entering The Planetary Grid
Once you are comfortable in the Soul Center, it is time to start Planetary Service. Using the meditation, we will see the planet in our mind’s eye. During this process we ask the Universe where we can be of service. Through thought, we then travel to that place and imagine peace, love, and abundance. Planetary service is a very powerful tool to use in a group setting such as this class. It shifts our focus away from ourselves, and places it on parts of the world that truly need it. While we use our minds to create positive change in the world, it will be reflected back to us as positive circumstances in our own lives. This is a fundamental, wonderful part of building your rainbow bridge. The more positive energy you generate for the world, the more positive energy you will receive in your own life. This week, as you direct energy to areas of the planet that come to your attention, take notes and share them on the Facebook group. See if other participants were drawn to similar places, countries, or situations. Again, don’t let your mind try and convince you where you think you should focus. Just go where you feel pulled without questioning it.
In your journal, please answer the following question: What areas of the world were you drawn to? What did you see?
Step Four: Grounding
Meditation, our soul center, and planetary service are all experiences that can leave us feeling a bit “spacey.” While this can be a good feeling, I think it is extremely important to ground our energy after going through the first three steps. Not only does grounding help us feel connected and present, it helps sustain the positive energy we have harnessed, and passes more of that positivity into the earth. I believe that the Universe has infinite amounts of love and energy. The world, however, is in great need of more positive energy (thus our planetary service). On the following page, there is an illustration of the way that I visualize grounding. You will be pulling the column of light from the top of your head, back down through your body and into the ground below you. Please keep notes in your journal so that you can track your progress!
