The International Cricket Council wishes to appoint a

Digital Content and Insights Officer

The International Cricket Council (“ICC”) is the global governing body for the sport, which administers all aspects of international cricket. We are currently looking for a Digital Content and Insights Officer for the Commercial department, based at our headquarters in Dubai, UAE. The role will support the Digital team in the daily management, content creation and audience analysis across ICC Digital and Social media platforms, including, but not limited to the ICC website, mobile applications and various social media accounts. Principal Accountabilities Responsibilities of the Digital Content and Insights Officer include but are not limited to the following:  Daily maintenance of ICC digital and social media platforms, using audience insight, social trends and analytics to help informed editorial judgement and content curation;  Creating weekly, monthly, campaign based and event based analytics reports using measurable insights and benchmarks to help guide the overall digital strategy;  Ensuring the website and apps are fresh, engaging and up to date throughout each day, taking into account the accuracy, relevancy and how information is visually presented;  Proactively suggesting content and working with editorial partner(s) to have them drafted and published;  Leading on SEO, working with content and development team(s) to ensure content is adhering to industry best practices;  Working closely with the Marketing, Broadcast and Media & Communications teams to ensure appropriate messaging is integrated within the ICC’s digital communications;  Attending weekly content and product meetings to help set and execute the organisation’s digital agenda;  Assist the Digital Content Manager with:  Executing the ICC content strategy in line with commercial, communications, marketing and development requirements;  Maintaining the ICC content calendar, creating digital content plans, campaign plans including specific event plans; and  Managing key editorial content vendor relationships.  Assist the Digital Product Manager with:  Providing ongoing analytics and insight updates on performance of ICC digital channels against set KPI’s;  Shaping digital product strategy based on audience insight and emerging trends; and  Creating digital product requirements and managing product vendor relationships.

Knowledge, Skills, Attitude and Experience 

Minimum 3 to 5 years working in a digital role using insight and analytics to grow and understand audiences;



A strong understanding of analytics and proven experience in using data and insight to grow audiences across both digital and social media channels is essential;



Thorough understanding and knowledge of the various social media platforms;



Previous experience of using analytics to deliver content campaigns;



Demonstrable ability to work on and deliver multiple content pieces at the same time;



Previous experience with basic multimedia creation and editing (videos, podcasts etc.) is an advantage;



Previous experience live streaming to social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube is desirable;



Basic understanding of product development, creating acceptance criteria and product requirements is an advantage;



Excellent written and communication skills;



Strong time management and prioritisation skills;



High level of self-motivation and commitment to projects;



Sound editorial judgement is essential with a keen eye for detail while being meticulous and accurate;



Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines;



Ability to work collaboratively and positively with others to achieve organisational objectives and partners’ objectives;



Concern for the perceptions of external and internal stakeholders;



Existence of a positive, 'can-do' mentality, anxious to find ways around obstacles and willing to exploit all of the available resources in order to accomplish objectives ; and



A passion and understanding of the game of cricket.

Conditions of employment 

The position is based in Dubai;



The role on occasion will require work extended beyond office working hours, particularly in tournament time when the successful candidate will be required to travel internationally occasionally to cover live events;



The selected candidate will be required to provide two recent work references; and



Compensation offered will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
