Do you know God and His truths? Test your knowledge of historic Christian truths. It does not tell you if you are a true believer or not. But it might tell you if you need to study God and His Biblical truths more. 1. God has revealed Himself clearly to everyone, everywhere, through the beauty of His creation. 2. All people have an innate sense or consciousness of the divine, which the Church would later call “sensus divinitatus.” 3. God inspired the Bible by dictating His own words to human writers. 4. The Bible is so clear that its teachings can be understood by all readers who seek God’s help and are willing to follow it. 5. God occasionally requires us to believe some things about His character and being that are not found in Scripture. 6. With sufficient study, meditation, and maturity, we can fully and completely understand God. 7. Immutability means that God has the ability to change His characteristics, His purposes, and His promises. 8. Grace is God’s kindness toward those who deserve only punishment. 9. Glory is defined as the honor we give to God. 10. There are no differences in deity, attributes, or essential nature between the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The only distinctions between the members of the Trinity are in the ways they relate to each other and relate to creation. 11. God created the world distinct from Himself, and it lost its dependence on God because of sin. 12. God created us because He needed someone to love. 13. The natural man is completely unable to do any good before God. 14. During Jesus Christ’s life on earth, he possessed a mixture of both human and divine natures blended into one supernatural nature. 15. Atonement is the work Christ did in His life and death to take away sins and earn our salvation. 16. Jesus Christ fulfilled the three-fold Old Testament roles of prophet, priest, and son. 17. Justification happens only once, at the start of a believer’s faith in Christ, while sanctification is a lifetime process. 18. “Sola fide” means that believers are justified by faith combined with good deeds. 19. God will not forgive certain sins unless you specifically confess each one. 20. The Bible distinguishes between two classes of Christians: ordinary believers, and the Spirit-baptized ones. 21. The Holy Spirit grieves when believers sin. 22. When we worship, God draws near to us. 23. At death, the believer’s spirit will remain in heaven forever. 24. At death, the believer’s spirit goes immediately to heaven without going through a sleep-like state. 25. When you become a Christian, your sins are immediately forgiven, but righteousness is a life-long process.
