Kia Ora and welcome to Hutt City Salvation Army. The holiday season is almost upon us! Although I’m sure we don’t need reminding. Christmas decorations have taken over shop interiors and the TV is constantly reminding us of the ever encroaching holiday. This week our topic is ‘perspectives’ - and whether you’re more like a Christmas Elf or the Grinch who stole Christmas, this season provides us all with the opportunity to spread joy to others. I encourage you to support The Salvation Army Wellington Street Day Appeal – and help us make Christmas a little easier for individuals and families. You can sign up to volunteer just a couple of hours of your time, knowing the money collected will make a real difference. WELLINGTON STREET DAY APPEAL: 21 NOVEMBER. 7AM-4PM. Please give generously, by signing up before you leave today.

Dear Sponsor, Christian greetings in the Lord God almighty. How’s life going on, I send you a letter because I just want to say thank you for everything, for your financial support that you gave, I thank God because he has given me a sponsor like you. You know Sponsor, my parents can’t afford to send me to school because of economic situation, my family are very poor and my parent had 7 siblings and I’m fifth sibling in the family, so we are considered as being poor, but when I received Jesus Christ as my personal saviour my life has changed, he gave everything, blessings and especially you. I really thank God when you came into my life for those unexpected blessings that you gave me. I really thank God because he has given me the opportunity to have you in my life. I felt so lucky being satisfied when God gave me you. Thank you very much, and God bless us always. Your sponsored child, Anna Jane.
