High School diploma or equivalent Prefer a minimum of five years experience in secretarial and/or general office experience
Strong public relations skills Positive attitude Can work with clients under pressure Works well with others as a team member Ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Demonstrates skills in writing and editing Strong computer proficiency with knowledge and experience of relevant software applications in areas of spreadsheets, word processing, graphics, communications, and database management Social media Excellent phone etiquette

Answer all SET Department phone calls and assist clients before considering a call transfer Answer all SET Department phone calls with professionalism and courtesy Maintain current knowledge of all Driver Education and Bus Certification/Recertification class schedules and services in the SET Department Handle all word processing, spreadsheets, and databases relevant to SET Department programs and services Assist SET staff with written correspondence and fliers announcing services and events Assist SET staff by preparing all documents/forms for printing Prepare and type all monthly, quarterly, yearly SET Department reports when required Prepare all P.O.'s, P.A.'s and assist in maintaining the yearly budget books for the SET Department Maintain a report of all SET Department revenue Maintain SET Department budget reports and distribute them to the Program Coordinator and Component Director monthly Maintain documentation and files of SET Department Fleet Vehicle records including a monthly Fuelman report provided by the business office Maintain SET Department personnel filing system to include staff development, travel, and time & effort records Disseminate SET Department mail Process various forms (print requests, travel, workshop information) etc. for Specialists Maintain all records for Driver Education, School Bus Driver Training Certification & Recertification, and other SET Department programs Process, schedule, and data entry for Bus Driver Certification, Recertification, and records to be reported to DPS Process, schedule, and data entry for Driver Education classes and records Serve as requested, or appointed, on internal committees of the ESC Participate in staff development activities as designated in Staff Development Plan Maintain an adequate quantity of forms and supplies Serve as SET Department property and equipment custodian and maintain a current database of property, instructional materials, supplies, and equipment Responsible for organizing and labeling supply closets Always follow procedure for procurement of good and services and verify receipt of purchased materials Enter all events for SET Department in escWorks and/or Square database Register participants for workshops in escWorks and/or Square database Maintain the accountability records for participants served in SET Department programs Data entry for TxDOT Grants to include: registration, processing sign-in sheets, evaluations, participant comments, filing, and compiling a summative evaluation of each program. o Staff Improvement Program – 25% o AD-A-STEP for Life Program – 25% o S.H.A.R.E.
