Evaluations - See location, dates and times on the back It is important that your child attends player evaluations unless they are returning to the baseball or softball age division they played in last year. On occasion, even players returning to the same age division will need to attend evaluations; we will give plenty of notice in this event. Evaluations is a skill assessment only, and all children will be selected for a team. Bring your child’s glove with you. Bats and balls will be furnished.
Practices Begin - Week of Monday, March 20th Your child's team will practice on either Saturday or Sunday, throughout the season. The team will also practice one time during the week until the season begins. Additional practices may be scheduled by your child’s coach. Your child’s coach will give you details.
Dick's Sporting Goods - In-store Shop Day - March 25th 20% OFF ALL DAY - Smithville Diamonds has partnered with Dick's Sporting Goods again this year. On March 25th, DSG will offer a 20% discount to all families associated with Smithville Diamonds. You will receive a discount coupon via email prior to the 25th that will entitle you to 20% off your entire purchases during the day at DSG. (Exclusions Apply)
Jamboree & Pictures - Saturday, April 8th (Rain Date: Sunday, April 9th). This is a big day for everyone at Smithville. Games will be going all day and we will have our full concession stand up and running. Each team will play an "exhibition" game to get a feel for what the real games will be like during the following week.
Season Games Begin - Monday, April 10th
The Midseason Weekend Games– May 6th & 7th This is the first year for scheduled weekend games at Smithville. To help alleviate pressure on our weekday schedules during the season, and to just have a lot of fun, each team will play a regular season game during this weekend. We’re sure this will be a fun weekend for our kids and families. We will be holding our Bat-A-Thon along with some other fun events during this weekend.
Season Ending League Tourney - During weeks of June 12th & 19th Rain Dates (If Necessary) - May 20/21 and/or June 3/4. If necessary, rain dates will be on Saturdays. Sunday will be used if Saturday is rained out.

Baseball evaluations are on Sunday, February 19th and softball evaluations are on Saturday March 4th. Park and enter on the East side of the school. Please arrive between 5 and 10 minutes before your child’s scheduled time. We do our best to stay on time. Baseball
