Summary: SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for an Event Marketing & Media Coordinator for SMG Mercedes-Benz Superdome | Smoothie King Center | Champions Square. Essential Duties and Responsibilities ●

Develop and manage SMG Complex monthly marketing schedule based upon event activity and Sales Department needs (includes advertising schedule for print/online, Eblasts, cross promotions & social media posts) Work with Graphics Coordinator on the development of all print/online ads, event collateral and creation and deployment of all Eblast campaigns Schedule and place all local and regional ads (print and online) for SMG Complex for all ticketed events and private event rental spaces Serve as in-house agency to Event Promoters/clients (when applicable) Work with Event Promoters on all local and regional media mix, buys and promotion; Provide all orders, invoices, tear sheets and affidavits to Accounting & Event Coordinator for settlement Responsible for securing promotional: 30 beta tapes from Event Promoters for Production Department for display on Mercedes-Benz Superdome, Smoothie King Center and Champions Square LED signage messaging (ads, commercials etc.) Establish and maintain relationships with Event Promoters and local media reps (account executives for print and internet outlets) Demonstrate marketing support to SMG Event Promoters/clients through creation of post Event Marketing Reports Coordination of all Television and Radio spots from Event Promoters/clients with the New Orleans Pelicans for broadcast on Fox Sports New Orleans and Pelicans Radio Network Management of all SMG related Pelicans traffic assets including graphic signage, promoter spots, GameTime Game Program advertising, and in-arena promotions Maintain and send updates on the departmental advertising budgets General Maintenance and Updates to all SMG Complex websites including Manage Google Analytics account, track trend/traffic and provide reports for online assets Coordinates efforts and works with sales & marketing personnel to update all social media accounts, including Twitter, Facebook, etc., both to promote events and inform the public of facility news. Responsible for maintaining and increasing SMG Complex in-house email database and social media audience through creative strategies in order to increase ticket sales, ancillary revenues and bookings

Identify, develop and leverage bonus, trade and promotional opportunities and eventrelated media appearances to drive event ticket sales and positive exposure of venues Responsible for utilizing Ticketmaster tools and marketing resources (i.e. TM Messenger) to create broadened exposure, drive ticket sales and traffic to SMG Complex websites Participate in the development of the annual Sales and Marketing plan for the SMG Complex Respond to outside inquiries on potential marketing/advertising opportunities Assist with activating show marketing components (i.e. meet and greets) Maintains profiles and lists of all media in the market / market demographics. Creates news releases and arranges interviews pertaining to facilities, events and LSED. Conducts media and client and special-request tours of the facilities as needed. Coordinates and drafts responses to customer service complaints requiring special action by management. Prepares quarterly/annual reports.
Qualifications
Creative thinker who can plan and execute a diverse array of marketing campaigns across a variety of channels Must possess the motivation and focus to manage campaigns from start to finish and measure their impact Strong working knowledge and demonstrated experience in social media management, e-mail campaign management and website content management Demonstrated Photoshop experience Excellent communications skills both verbal and written Strong proofreading abilities Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize to meet tight deadlines Ability to work irregular hours as dictated by event programming Ability to physically move around the facility
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications or related field 3-4 years of experience in marketing, public relations or related field
