Dear Alumni/Friends/Parents and Community St. Robert Bellarmine School closed its doors in June 2013, and Divine Wisdom Catholic Academy opened its second campus in the SRB School building. Much has changed. But then, for our early Alumni, much had already changed from their days in the school. We will continue to try to keep the Alumni Association active and assist classes in locating fellow classmates for reunions. We will still offer any planned local reunions the opportunity to tour the school building as long as we are notified of the date in advanceso that we can coordinate a day/time. We welcomeany and all ideas AS WELL AS ALL NEWS to makethis Association continue as an active, supportive entity. Pleasetake some time to visit the current SRB School website at www.SRBSchool.org which we have revamped somewhat as an Alumni site. Some of the old newsletters are posted there on the Alumni Newsletter tab. Future ones will be posted as well. We also try to post news about current events/reunions that may interest Alumni --- local and all others. The calendar also has some info. Finally, visit the Parish website at www.StRoberts.org for upcomingnews/ events / happeningsin the Parish. ALUMNI NEWS AND HAPPENINGS
Harry Hom, Alumni of the Class of 2011 @ SRB and 2015 at Xavier High School selected Divine Wisdom Catholic Academy's Bayside Campus (our SRB!) as part of Xavier's Senior Christian Service Program, where he worked with the Kindergarten students.
MSGR. LAVIN GOLF OUTING 201S It was a beautiful day at a new venue (Engineers Golf & Tennis Club in Roslyn Harbor) --- sunshine and not too hot. Thank you to the SRB alumni who attended and/or made contributions to the event in support of the School and the children. Check the Alumni and Parish websites in the spring (2016) for info on next May's Golf Outing.
REUNIONS To the Class of 1965 --- It has been 50 years since your graduation from SRB. Congratulations on this milestone Do you have memories you would like to share in our next news letter? To the Class of 1966 --- Your 50-year milestone is approaching quickly. If you have plans for a reunion, let us know. We will help to spread the word/details. And send in some memories about SRB to share in the next newsletter. TO any and all Classes having a formal or informal reunion --- let us know. We will post it on the SRB Alumni website and spread it throught the Facebook pages. For those Alumni interested in making cyberspace connections, there are several group sites dedicated to SRB School/Classes/Groups. TO SPECIAL PEOPLEWHO HAVE DEDICATED TIME and SERVICE TO SRB: Robert Fristachi --- inducted into the CYO Honors Second Hall of Fame Class May 2015 at Immaculate Conception Center. Robert began his involvement as a player in CYO basketball and baseball in 1962 at St. Robert Bellarmine Parish. He coached at the parish and later served as Parish Athletic Representative (PAR) before moving to Our Lady of Snows in 1991. So there may be alumni that had him as their coach over his years at SRB. Debbie McCrorie --- Recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Msgr. John B. Lavin Golf Outing in May, 2015. Debbie has been involved with SRB School and Parish since 2000 in many different roles ... not the least of which is her tireless fundraising for SRB School. Her son, Alex, graduated from SRB in 2009.
Msgr. Martin T. Geraghty, Pastor of St. Robert Bellarmine Parish --- Recipient of the Father Mychal Judge Memorial Award at the 2015 Great Irish Fair of New York.

Graduated St. Roberts in 1965 with fond memories etched in my heart. Fabulous education, strict nuns and an immaculate building. Wore a forest green uniform and brown oxford shoes. Attribute my grammar and educational success to the dedicated nuns who worked endlessly instilling the meaning of a noun or what each religious holiday was. Would love to connect with classmates. Moved to Bayside in 1957 but St Roberts did not yet have 8th grade so I graduated from IC in Jamaica. Went on to Holy Cross High School; graduated in 61. Lived on 206th street (5639) Childhood friends Bob Judge, MaryAnne Steinmuller, Helen Dempsey. Have been in email contact with both Helen and Maryanne since I moved to FL in 1999.
