In Q4-16 the Company began a diesel island improvement project that began with replacing the dispenser with a new Wayne dispenser (above). Note the 2 signs on top of the dispenser (above left; 1 side of the dispenser can serve commercial diesel, the other private passenger – the difference in excise taxes collected is resolved through the computerized cashiering system. Ingress/egress to the diesel island was also improved by the creation of a circular drive from Haskell Ave. (below). The distance between the 1-way ingress/egress drives is about 300 ft. (a football field). This greatly improves the use by large diesel vehicles (trucks, buses & RVs) and is expected to result in higher diesel volumes. To finish off the project the forecourt was resurfaced in April 2017 (left photo). This gives overall improved curb appeal to the property – just in time for summer travelers!
