Property Found in a highly sought-after and desirable Chestfield location is this stunning three bedroom detached bungalow which we understand was built in 2002 to a high-specification, offering light and airy accommodation. Entered via a vestibule leading to a dining hallway with doors to all rooms. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room, there are two further bedrooms and a family bathroom. The generous and elegant lounge has a bow window overlooking the front garden, there is also a lovely sun room which overlooks the secluded rear garden, while the kitchen is well-equipped with modern units and there is also a utility room. Externally the rear garden enjoys a beautiful sunny aspect and is laid mainly to lawn with flower and shrub borders and a raised timber decked area. The long front garden is neatly maintained providing ample off street parking and access to the integral garage. Chestfield is a delightful village with Chestfield Cricket Club and Golf Club being within easy access. Chestfield also has a Sainsbury’s superstore and a railway station providing a regular service to London. The popular seaside town of Whitstable is within 2 miles and provides a variety of shops, bars and restaurants, as well as the beach and working harbour.

Our Time Here We bought the property in 1998, thanks to its perfect and idyllic location. The area is gorgeous, very green with a countryside feel and I love it here. A few years after we moved in, we decided to rebuild the bungalow completely to include new footings and foundations, which means this is essentially a new build. It was a large undertaking but something that my husband wanted to do, and it allowed us to stay in this wonderful location. One of our favourite rooms was what we called the ‘sun room’/4th bedroom. On the advice of our neighbours we decided not to build a conservatory (which in this area can be too hot to use in the summer), and instead put large glass doors to look out over the wildlife in the garden. Similarly, the sitting room, is a lovely place to relax and watch the world go by the front of the property. We have really enjoyed the local amenities and accessibility of the location. Whitstable and the coast are just 2-3 miles from the property, while the historic city of Canterbury with all that has to offer is only about 5 miles away. The train station offers a line straight through to Bromley South, and there is additionally a supermarket; both of which are only half a mile from the property. Chestfield has its own hairdressers, a computer shop, an active WI and a local hall, which always has plenty of classes going on. The boys play football on the lovely village green and the surrounding countryside provides beautiful walks. The bungalow is very convenient for the 18hole Golf Course at the end of the road, and ‘The Barn’ restaurant. My husband and I belonged to the Whitstable Bowling Club, and we have really enjoyed being equidistant from the beach and the countryside, and making use of the many nearby facilities and shops. The neighbours are wonderful company and I will miss them. I have absolutely beautiful memories of my time at the property, and will cherish them forever. Sadly, we feel that now is the right time to relocate closer to my family. This is a wonderful property to be enjoyed, and I am certain that someone will be just as happy here as we were.
