Holiday Home Work – Grade VII

Holiday Home Work – Grade VII Students promoted to VIII will be tested on the following as part of their regular weekly tests per schedule set for the Academic Year 2015-16. 1.

English:  Download and save/print the VII Reading List.  You will be tested on the following books: o Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Caroll o A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens o The Tygrine Cat by Inbali Iserles o The Ear, The Eye and The Arm by Nancy Farmer o The Borrowers by Terry Pratchett o Treasure Island by R. L. Stevenson The test could be in the form of character sketches, reviews, comprehensions and / or summary writing.

Geography: Revise the following topics:  Mapping skills  Pollution  Transportation and Communication Resources

3.

History: Revise the history of the Sub-continent from the creation of the Mughal Empire (13th century) till the arrival of the British (16th century).

4.

Islamiyat: Revise the following topics:  The Five Pillars of Islam  Surahs: Al-Qadr, Al-Nas, Al-Takasur 
