MATHEMATICS CREATIVE CORNER 1)
Find out the age of some family members like mummy, papa, grandma, grandpa, uncle, aunty, brother, sister. Write the number name of their ages in your note book and also answer the following questions. a) Who is elder ? Papa or grandma ? How much elder ? b) Who is younger ? Uncle or papa ? How much younger ? c)
How much do you get if you add mummy and papa’s age ?
d) How much do you get if you add you’re and your brother’s age? 2) Make flash cards of 0-9 ( 8cm by 8cm ) and get them laminated 3) Make a rangoli pattern with plane shapes ( circle, triangle, square, rectangle ) on A- 4 sheet. 4) Do page no. 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 63, 96, 97 in the book JOY OF MATHEMATICS. 5) Learn and write tables of 2 and 3 ( 5 times each ). 6) Do ten questions of ascending order and ten questions of descending order in your maths notebook . 7)
Do five questions of skip counting by 2 and five questions of skip counting by 3.
ENGLISH Places I went for a walk Summer vacations are fun as you go out and see different places. Choose ten naming words from the places you went for a walk and associate those words with prepositions. Remember to write sentences. Ex- I went on the swings which were on the top of the hill. A pat on my back Write a list of ten things you like about yourself. Ex. I always clean my teeth before school. Pets Collect a photo of one of your pet or of any animal you like. Write the description of your pet or an animal. Remember to use at least 5 describing words (adjectives) while you write 10 sentences. Word building Make words (minimum 10) using the letters from the word 'ACROBAT' and 'CATERPILLAR'. Read the story Elves and the shoemaker. Find out plurals and action words from the story. There are many people in our neighbourhood that show kindness to others. Draw a picture of someone that shows kindness to others. Write about his kindness. Watch animated movie of Beauty and the beast. Prepare your favourite dialogue from the movie for the enactment in the class after vacations. Have Fun! Draw while your mother gives you instructions 1. Draw a small house. 2. Draw a tree near it. 3. Draw a boy between the house and the tree. 4. Behind the house, draw another tree. 5. Draw a nest on the branch of the tree. 6. Draw a car in front of the house. 7. Draw a nest on the branch of the tree. 8. Draw a mouse under the car. Colour the picture hence drawn
