Homer Athletic Club June Meeting Thursday, July 11, 2013

Meeting called to order by John Kruczek at 8:12 Roll Call Present: John Kruczek, Ken Marcin, Mark Schulthies, Dave Regan, Chris Moore, Steve Bruton, Pat Greany Open Forum

Secretary Report Motion was made to accept the June minutes by Ken Marcin. Pat Greany seconded the motion. All voted aye,motion carries

Treasury Report Pat Greany read the report. There was a motion by Chris Moore to accept June’s Treasury Report. Ken Marcin seconded the motion. All voted aye,motion carries

Committee Reports Baseball:  Rec season over  Pony league has one game to finish for championship  Possible board for the canal league to be formed  Swila playoffs start tonight  Need to add older kids to website because it looks like our programs end at 14 years old  All tournaments available to be set up on the website

 Travel managers to use web functions next year.

Softball:  Rec season over.  8u Irish, 10u Hawkeyes and 12u Lockport Green champs  No SWS for fall ball looking to stay local

Basketball:  Dave Regan to request gym time  9/30 is close date for basketball  Possible 2 sport discount for volleyball and basketball  Will do clinics again  Discussed Fire Basketball vs Heat Basketball

Volleyball: No report

Part-time Fire Baseball:  Tryouts end of August, manager applications are coming in now

Full-time Travel Baseball:  Tryouts next Monday and Tuesday  Forms created for each level that has a choice for manager  $350 deposit after teams are chosen to secure Quarry space

Part-time Travel Softball:  10u Fire took 2nd in Orland

 8u Fire went 3-2 in Orland and lost by 1 to tournament champ  12u Fire won CSL memorial day tournament

Full-time Travel Softball:  Tryouts first week of August

Field Maintenance:  Close Complex after fall ball mid October  Gator @Circle Tractor need to get case # for insurance  Waiting on hand held unit for scoreboards  Scoreboards need to be reprogrammed  Porta john pulled @Butler and HJH

Concession:  On track

Equipment:  Rec bag return TBD

Sponsorship:  Need to collect from Circle Tractor
