Elizabeth was born on August 20, 1925, in Cleveland, IL, the daughter of Maurice and Elizabeth DeTaeye Barbier. She married Harold N. Renstrom on April 17, 1948 in Moline, IL and he preceded her in death on May 16, 1987. Elizabeth worked her career as a secretary both Deere & Co. for 8 years and later at DeSaulniers Printing for 26 years. Elizabeth was a member at Salem Lutheran Church in Moline and was a volunteer with the former Lutheran Auxillary. She also enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include her nephews Ray (Mary Lou) DeVolder, Tom L. Bull, nieces Joann (Harley) Webb, Rae Anne McKittrick, and Bonnie Bull; cousin Dorothy (Lee) Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Loise DeVolder and Josephine Bull; brothers Emil Barbier and Albert Barbier.

I gave to you my love. You can only guess How much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, But now it’s time I traveled on alone. So grieve a while for me, if grieve you must, Then let your grief be comforted by trust. It’s only for a time that we must part So bless the memories within your heart. I won’t be far away, for life goes on So if you need me, call and I will come. Though you can’t see or touch me, I’ll be near And if you listen with your heart, you’ll hear All my love around you soft and clear. And then, when you must come this way alone, I’ll greet you with a smile, and say –
