Miqlat Ministry Women’s Shelter in India Goal: $14,300 About this Mission Project Kheli was just 16 when she was sold by her husband. For almost 20 years, Kheli was a drug addict, prostitute, ring leader and pimp. Today, thanks to Miqlat Ministry, Kheli is a different person. She’s open, fun-loving, bold and honest. Miqlat Ministry offers alternatives to women in the sex trade by providing training to live a vibrant and dignified life. Since 2004, Miqlat has helped more than 200 women to start their own businesses, and become nurses and other trained professionals. Their Kheli with her new guitar, a gift from Miqlat.
