Dear Parent/Guardian REAL Learning Week 29 June to 3 July 2015 – The Causeway School Duathalon We are delighted to inform you that your child has chosen to take part in the “The Causeway School Duathalon” project during the REAL Learning Week. The cost of this project is £10 if you have a bike and fitted helmet or £42 if you need to hire this equipment. Please indicate your need on the reply below. During this project, students will learn about the importance of living a healthy life, training and reaching peak performance and they will test their perseverance both mentally and physically. For this project the usual school day timings apply and students should wear full school uniform and bring their PE kit and bike with a fitted helmet each day, if appropriate. We will spend the week completing endurance fitness training and enjoying the cuckoo trail for long distance running and bike riding. Please remember to bring a refillable bottle for water and depending on the weather sun cream or waterproof clothing. To confirm your agreement for your child to take part in this project please complete the reply slip below and return it together with your payment to either reception before 8.30am or the pay station during tutor time by Friday 19 June 2015. (Please make cheques payable to The Causeway School) Students without a completed reply slip and Annual Consent Form will not be able to attend the project. Please tick to confirm medical details and emergency contact details submitted on the Annual Consent Form for School Trips are correct. If your details require updating, please tick the box below or download a further copy from our website and return it to the school as soon as possible. Please give my child an Annual Consent Form as I need to update details.
