Spruce Up the School, August 15 With the recent refinishing on the gym floor, the gym is dusty and needs a good cleaning. The executive board is looking for willing and available volunteers to come help wipe bleachers. We will also be pulling weeds in the landscape. Join us Saturday, August 15, at 8:00 a.m. No equipment is needed, only helping hands.
Volunteer Team Essential to JVCS JVCS Executive Board Agenda, August 10 The JVCS Executive Board will meet on Monday, August 10, at 6:30. Reports will be given by the secretary, treasurer, elementary and high school principals, development & superintendent. Agenda items include: Reorganization of the Executive Board Approve coaching contracts for the following coaches. Assistant Cross Country, Head Volleyball, Assistant Volleyball, Jr. High Volleyball Approve addition to our Statement of Faith Approve staff handbook Approve new student applications Approve financial aid request

Coborn’s/Little Duke Receipts Due August 11 Please submit Coborn’s/Little Duke receipts dated May/June/July to the JVCS office by Tuesday, August 11.
Classroom aides, kitchen aides, mass mailing personnel, maintenance workers, kitchen helpers for special events and other individuals doing a variety of jobs form the JVCS Volunteer Team. These volunteers are important to us and a key to our success. Parents, grandparents and friends of JVCS are invited to become part of this vital team. On the back of this weeks Intercom you will find a volunteer service form to complete and return to the school indicating your areas of interest.
JVCS Fall Banquet Have you heard of the movies Facing the Giants, Courageous, Fireproof and Mom’s Night Out and coming to theaters August 28 War Room? We are excited to announce that author, director and producer Alex Kendrick, an associate pastor at Sherwood Church in Albany, Georgia is scheduled to come speak with guests at the annual fall banquet. Mr. Kendrick has dedicated his life to serving Jesus Christ and making His truth and love known among the nations through movies, books, speaking and prayer. You won’t want to miss this motivational, faith-based evening with Alex set for Thursday, October 22 at 6:30. The evening will begin with a delicious meal. The evening is free however, tickets are required. Please call the school or register online to reserve your seat. Tickets will be available to pick up or mailed on October 13.
