Helping Professional Engineers maintain their licensure in the state of Wisconsin with PEAK Training Conferences. To maintain Professional Engineering Licensure in the state of Wisconsin, Professional Engineers (PEs) are required to complete 30 approved Professional Development Hours (PDHs) or equivalent continuing education units every two years. MSOE provides several ways for PEs to obtain PDHs: • Complete an MSOE graduate or undergraduate course that extends PE knowledge Yields: 30 PDHs per completed course • Attend an MSOE professional development course offered through MSOE’s Graduate & Professional Education department (GPE) Yields: One PDH per hour completed • Attend an MSOE custom education or training session conducted on location at your company Yields: One PDH per hour completed • Develop and present an engineering-related topic at a Professional Engineers Advancing Knowledge (PEAK) Conference sponsored by MSOE; or just attend a PEAK Conference Yields: Presenters earn two PDHs for every hour, attendees receive one PDH for each hour completed Two of the 30 PDHs must be in engineering ethics. MSOE offers two options to fulfill this requirement: • Attend a professional development course at MSOE’s downtown campus, or on location at your company. • Complete an undergraduate course in engineering ethics, held in person on MSOE’s campus.

PEAK Conferences are collaborative knowledge exchanges facilitated by MSOE. The goal of PEAK Conferences is to provide knowledge-enhancement opportunities that offer a cost-effective and convenient way for PEs to earn the required Professional Development Hours (PDHs). There are two ways to earn PDHs through PEAK Conferences: 1. Present at a PEAK Conference PEs who develop and present a topic at a PEAK Conference will earn two PDHs for each hour of presentation time, the first time the topic is presented. If you are interested in submitting a topic for review to present at a PEAK Conference, please view the presentation requirements here: www.msoe.edu/ peak/ 2. Attend a PEAK Conference PEs who attend a PEAK Conference will earn one PDH for each hour completed. Each day-long conference runs for approximately eight hours, so participants may earn up to eight PDHs per PEAK Conference. If you are interested in attending a Conference, please submit your contact information and select “PEAK” so we can inform you of upcoming conferences at http://bitly.com/msoesignup.
The GPE team of staff and trainers provide expert consultation and follow-up instruction to meet your corporate training needs. Whether on a small, medium or large scale, MSOE’s GPE uses applications and tools-oriented instruction so that participants can apply what they learn the next day. Our team invites you to inquire and go beyond your limitations.
