We would first like to congratulate Sparkle Taylor for being named 2nd team All-Conference this season. Sparkle Taylor is our only graduating senior and she has had a great career at UTEP. She has left her mark in El Paso both on and off the court. She joined the 1000 point club and has received two conference honors (6th Man of the Year 2015-2016/2nd Team AllConference 2016-2017) during her career at UTEP. The 2016-2017 season was filled with a lot of peaks and valleys for this young Miner team. This season did not go how the Miners would have liked but, it will help fuel the fire for next season. With the Miners having a young team this season, it was a great opportunity for the younger ones to get a lot of experience. We are all looking forward to begin preparing for next season!
