Canada, V3B 5K5 Dear Peter, Thanks so much for your reply to my letter and the help with Charles Whitlock. I'm so sorry that I am so late with my reply but I have had some interferences with my research. The information that I have that says Charles came from Ireland came from the book, "The Priddy Family in America", published by the Priddy Family Association, 1015 St. John Road, Elizabethtown, KY 42701. I don't know how recent it is. It says, " John Priddy, son of George and Penelope Davis Priddy, b 12 Jun 1781, Goochland County, Virginia, died 8 Mar 1861 Polk County, Missouri. He married Nancy Whitlock, the daughter of Charles Whitlock who came from Ireland. She was born in Albemarle County, North Carolina in 178~ and died in Polk County, Missouri in 1857.". It may well be that she was born in VA., however there was an Albemarle Co. in NC. It was created in 1663 and was one of3 original counties. It was discontinued in 1739 which was before Nancy was born ( ca 1782). It was in the north east corner of NC. and the counties Currituck, Camden, Pasquotank, Perquimans, Chowan were all formed from it. Right now I have not had the time to really study the info you sent me but wanted to let you know that I did receive it and really to appreciate your help. All that I have on the early Priddys come from the Priddy book. Mrs Black has only info on her parents and grandparents so I best get to work. Thanks again for the great info Sincerely
