Emily's bonkers about bugs!
Claire met Ben (and his giant LEGO figure!) at the National Geographic Store in London
I think it is imp to encourage wildlife. I planted some sunflower seeds and Christmas tree seeds, which will hopefully grow to be a place where insects can live and provide food for them to eat. I searched my garden for bugs and have drawn a picture of six insects! Emily Bayliss, 7 l We love your pictures, Emily, Keep up the good work!
I went to st Knaresborough, Yorkshire. It's the olde h witc ! A land Eng in on acti visitor attr called Mother Shipton lived in the is a cave and made predictions. BANANAGRAMS is the award-winning word game that will drive you... bananas! Players race against each other to build crosswordstyle grids and use up all their letter tiles. But there's no turn-taking here — it’s a madcap race to the finish!
! N I W WONDERW ! DLICE! FUL INWOO
If you think that woodlice are insects, you are mistaken! In fact, they are a type of crustacean called isopods and are one of Earth’s oldest species. There are 3,000 types and the most common colours are grey and brown, very useful for camouflage from predators! Woodlice are 'detritivores' because they eat decaying vegetation — and that makes them marvellous recyclers! Dan Martin, 11 l Who knew there was so much to learn about woodlice? We're impressed, Dan!

What should I do if I find a baby bird alone on the ground? Sarah Carter, 11 It may not actually be in the bird's best interest to intervene straightaway, Sarah, as it could be a fledgling that's learning to fly. So, from a distance, watch the bird for an hour or so, listening to see if it's calling its parent and if you can hear a parent responding. Then head online and read one of the detailed advice sheets from the RSPB — tinyurl.com/42ybgg7
I met explorer Ben Saunders at the launch of the brand-new LEGO CITY Arctic range. Ben told me that he'd travelled to the South Pole and back on foot — that's 1,795 miles (2,888km) in only 105 days! He pulled a sleigh weighing about 200kg, and he put some of his rations into the snow so he could find them on his way back. The food was dehydrated, so he needed to mix it with melted snow. He had to eat 6,000 calories a day, almost three times what most people eat! Claire Quillot l Great report, Claire! When's YOUR Antarctic expedition planned?!
