Today... Christian Youth Fellowship Sexuality Course, 8 p.m. Please park in the rear parking lot for this activity. The audience is asked to remain seated until the end of the recession. Quotes From Steven Charleston, a Native American Episcopal Bishop Wake up today and feel it, that current of energy that is the Spirit entering into your life. Rise up today and claim it, that power of renewal that will change your life. Speak up today and proclaim it, that word of hope that liberates your life. This is a day made for you, shaped by what you have dreamed, fashioned from your longing. What you do today will have the authority of healing. For yourself. For your family. For the world in which you live. Today the old steps aside for you. This is a moment when you are entrusted with answers to many prayers. Receive the joy within you and trust the love around you.
Here are the sacred places, here are the sanctuaries and the hallowed halls, here in the city streets, where the rich and poor walk past one another, where money is made and lost, dreams rise and fall, this is the cathedral where carbon monoxide incense fills the air, street hawkers chant the anthem, the great organ made by car horn, loud and uncaring, a ceaseless energy in solemn procession, this is holy ground, the place where we worship, where we practice our faith or look the other way, here is where religion learns how well it wrestles reality, and where love grows stronger or goes home.
A Short List of What Gives Us Strength: (1) knowing that we have been through hard times before, (2) knowing that we are forever in the hearts of those who care for us, (3)
knowing that others have faced what we are facing, (4) knowing we have trusted helpers standing by us, (5) knowing we are in the prayers of many, (6) knowing trained professionals are on the case, (7) knowing our family will be alright, (8) knowing those who have gone to heaven are watching over us, (9) knowing we have a deep and abiding faith, (10) knowing that absolutely nothing can separate us from the love of God.
