Nepal VISA REQUIREMENTS AND INSTRUCTIONS READ CAREFULLY: Incomplete or delayed submission of the visa application can result in you missing your program! To apply for your visas: Download and print the visa application at: http://www.nepalembassyusa.org/wp-
content/uploads/2017/03/OFFICIAL-VISA-APPLICATION.pdf Please print and complete the applications following the instructions listed below. Read through these instructions before filling out the visa application Before printing, confirm: Current Nationality: “U.S. Citizen” Leave any and all passport information blank. We will fill in this information for you after your Peace Corps passport is processed. Profession/Occupation: “Peace Corps Volunteer” Permanent address is your Home of Record. Print 1 visa form and follow instructions below o Write carefully and legibly or type out Sign and date the visa form. Paperclip 2 - 2”x 2” photos (in addition to the 2 photos needed for your passport application) to your visa application. On the back of all your photos, please print your name and “Nepal”. Mail your passport application, visa application, and passport photos to the address provided below. You need to use a mailing service to send us your travel documents (i.e. DHL, UPS, or FedEx). Please remember to retain your tracking number.

Nepal Visa Requirements and Instructions: To travel to and then stay in Nepal, you’ll need to send us: 1.) One completed visa application. 2.) Two passport-sized photographs (this is in addition to the two needed for your passport application) Fill out the application and return it (along with the necessary photos) to the Peace Corps travel office . Do this as soon as you accept your invitation. The passport and visa acquisitions are bureaucratic processes involving several foreign and U.S. agencies.
How to fill out the visa application (copy the highlighted sections verbatim):
1. Full name (First / Middle / Last) 1a. Gender 2. Nationality: U.S. Citizen 3. Place of birth 4. Date of birth 5. Phone number 6. Permanent Address (your home of record here) 6a. Address in Nepal: Peace Corps Office, Kathmandu 7. Occupation: Peace Corps Volunteer 8, 8a, 8b: LEAVE BLANK 9. Purpose of visit: Peace Corps Volunteer 9a. LEAVE BLANK 10. Duration of stay in Days: 27 months 11. Number of previous visits: a. If you’ve visited before (tourist, work etc.), enter in the requested information b. If you’ve never visited before, put 0 Source of Expenditure while staying in Nepal: SPONSOR 13. NO unless you hold another passport from another country OR hold a diplomatic/official passport from the United States 14. LEAVE BLANK unless you hold another passport from another country OR hold a diplomatic/official passport from the United States 14a.
