A pair of size 6 Kooga black / yellow coloured rugby boots have gone missing from school. We are asking parents to check their child's school bag just in case they have accidentally brought them home. If found please could you bring them into school as soon as possible.
Socrates Gifted and Talented During the Spring term we will be holding new Gifted and Talented Workshops for our pupils as well as children from schools in the community. We hope that the children will find them an enriching experience. Details will be published soon! COMMUNICATION~ Our Schoolcomms texting service is the same system as that run by Okehampton College. When you receive a text from the Primary school the number that will come up on your phone will be +44183750059. We will endeavour to end all texts with abbreviation ’Oke Pri’.
Good Luck to our year 5 and 6 Indoor Athletics teams who will be competing in the finals of the West Devon Athletics competition on Monday 18th January.

If there are any problems on the school site we will alert parents through Schoolcomms and the School Website. We will also inform Radio Devon. It is very rare that we would close the school however please do bring children in with suitable clothing as we do let them play outside if possible!
Fencing Maintenance ~ we hope you like our new look fencing. The work is still on-going and hoped to be finished in the next week. ABSENCE REPORTING ~ Please can all parents inform the school every day their
child does not attend school. Absence request forms need to be completed prior to the absence and accompanied with supporting evidence, for instance, appointment or confirmation letters. THE SCHOOL OFFICE hours are from 8.30am to 4.30pm. If no one is available to answer your call outside these times or on occasions during office hours, you can always leave a message on the answer phone.

THURSDAY 21ST JANUARY ~ SPECIAL ITALIAN DAY ~ The dining hall will turn into an Italian Bistro serving traditional Italian food, as we will once again be holding a themed dinner. Pupils and staff will be able to enjoy a choice of: Beef lasagne or pepperoni or vegetable supreme pizza with peas and sweet corn or salad followed by Neapolitan ice cream or fruit. Jacket potatoes will still be served with a choice of toppings including Bolognese sauce. Don't forget that ALL children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a FREE school meal so why not encourage them to enjoy a fun-filled Italian lunch! We are looking forward to see what the Kitchen staff will dress up as this time?!

OCRA ~ GETTING ACTIVE IN THE NEW YEAR FOR CHILDREN & FAMILIES MULTISKILLS HELP YOUR CHILDREN ENJOY ACTIVITY Age 4 ½ -6 years ~ Multiskills are essential for all round physical development of children so that they can enjoy sport and activity. Sessions include FUN GAMES that develop key skills of balance, agility and co-ordination. Sessions are on a Thursday 5-6 at Parklands . 5 weeks cost £15 and start Thursday 14th January TRIATHALON - RUN, CYCLE, SWIM The OCRA Kids Tri Club is a club that encourages and develops 8-11 year olds swimming, running and cycling skills for triathlon. We aim to help all members achieve their own personal goals within a fun, encouraging and safe environment. Get in touch if you want to come along and discover the variety and fun of triathlon FENCING Age 10 years and over. Come join our fantastic coach.
