A very successful Easter Camp was run in the sunny Bleach on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of last week. It was well attended by our U9 and U10 boys. They had a great time and further developed and practiced their hurling and football skills, which they learn in training, in a relaxed and fun environment. Skill stations were set up and ably run by our minor players, who are also Transitional Year students. These students have completed Foundation Courses and are currently running coaching sessions in our four schools, under the guidance of Ger O’Sullivan and in cooperation with the teaching staff.

The kids were very attentive to the coaches led by Niall Murphy and had a great time in this first outing of the year in the Valley Rovers Giggles Crèche sponsored academy. The Academy will continue every Saturday morning from 11:00 to 12:00 in the Bleech in Innishannon if weather permitting and if not in the Hall in Innishannon. All children boys & girls born in 2008 and 2009 are welcome, (parents are asked to stay). Well done to the kids that turned up yesterday and we look forward to seeing you all again next Saturday
We also want to thank Barry O’Sullivan and his manager Dave in Centra, who provided refreshments on the final day. It was good to see the lads enjoying the well-deserved refreshments and the developing camaraderie between the two age groups. A group photo of the Under 9‘s at Easter camp is on the next page.
