Valleys second Team had a great win over Shamrocks first team on a scoreline of 2.08 to 0.08 in the South East Junior Hurling Championship on Thursday last. The Team lined out as follows. Fixtures U14 practice match v Blarney Wednesday May 25th in Brinny @ 7:30pm U14 practice match v St. Colums Saturday May 28th in Brinny @ 2:30pm U12 Go-Games Valley Rovers hosted their U12 Go-Games cluster blitz in Brinny on Sunday. There were four teams present, Ballinhassig, Courceys, Carrigaline and Valleys. Thankfully the weather held up and an enjoyable day was had by all. Well done to all players, coaches and parents who helped out with refreshments during the day. U14 A League Valley Rovers played out an exciting draw against near neighbours Ballinhassig on Sunday in Ballinhassig. Valleys led at the break by 2 points but a strong display by the home team in the second half found them ahead by 2 gaols with 7 minutes remaining. However Valleys finished strongly with 2 goals from Lisa Lynch and Rachel O'Sullivan to level matters. The final score was 2-3 apiece. Team: Kate O'Mahony, Aileen Cremin, Casey O'Sullivan, Ciara Murphy, Sarah Murphy, Jennifer Murphy, Maróg Murphy, Lisa Lynch, Michelle Cottrell, Chloe O'Halloran, Roisin O'Regan, Laura Brew, Rachel O'Sullivan, Maeve O'Brien, Katie Lynch, Cathy O'Donovan, Grace O'Reilly, Ellen Casey. Munster League Valley Rovers Senior team have entered a Munster League for the summer months. U11 football League
On Wed 18th May our U11 footballers traveled to Ballyangley to play Inniscarra, this is an eleven aside competition with 4 games played on the night. Valleys performed very well registering three victories and one defeat. Well done to Alan Quirke who kept a clean sheet on his return to the Cork Senior Football team in the first round of the championship Vs Clare yesterday in Pairc Ui Chaoimh. Fiarcha Lynch also came on in the Second Half. Cork won the game easily with a final score of Cork 1-23 Clare 0-11. To have two players and three members of the backroom staff, members of Valley Rovers in the Cork set up is a great achievement for one Club, so well done to all involved. Well done to Kevin Canty who played a starring role in London’s facile victory in the Nicky Rackard Cup Semi Final on a score line of LONDON 1-29 to FINGAL 1-05 on Saturday in Ruislip. London now meet Louth in the Nicky Rackard Cup Final in Croke Park on July 11th. We wish them the best of luck Vol 1 Issue 17
