INTRODUCTION After removing the covering of the flash arm and it's components, remove the metal spring from it's hinge and replace it with a new one.

TOOLS: Phillips #00 Screwdriver (1) Spudger (1)

Step 1 — Flash Spring



Remove the two 2.5mm x 4mm Philips screws located directly under the flash.



Pop off the covering of the flash to reveal the flash arm spring.

Lift the flash arm spring using the plastic spudger and unhinge the spring to remove it.

Step 3 

Remove the spring by sliding it off, then replace it with a new one.
