Plum Baseball & Softball Association Board Meeting Minutes: November 17, 2016 8:00 PM John Anthony’s Restaurant

Board Members Present: Dan Macioce, Dave Seitz, Autumn Favero, Ryan Fulmer, Bill Rumcik, Tom Schohn, Kirk Rhoades, Mike Norcutt, Tom Gentile, Amy Seigh, Jon Salopek, Eric Seigh, Greg Bohatch Absent: Jay White, Matt Desantis, Carl Vollmer, Mark Pivik, Mark Dargay, Justin Stephans Quorum present? Yes

Proceedings Call to Order Meeting called to order at 8:05 p.m. by President, Dan Macioce. Last month’s meeting minutes were previously approved via email.

Treasurer Report     

Our cash balance is $23,712 as of October 31. The most recent financial statement has been posted to our web site. Junior Legion added about $2K of the $5K additional for Spring Registration The increase is costs was mostly for uniform costs due to Legion We started depreciating fixed assets. The budget for next year is due at the next meeting

Committee / Board Reports Building and Grounds Report        



We had a conversation about buying new tarps that fit field 1 and 5 and maybe moving those ones to 7 & 8. No final decision made There is a possibility that we will need to buy some new bases for next year We still have a lot of extra field dry so we will not need to buy as much next year Softball was scheduled to finish closing up the fields this weekend Concession stand and lights for field 1 & 3 will be on for the Christmas party Tom will send the budget to Autumn to possibly include 2 tarps, Bases and lights for field 3 We only got approval to replace 2 dugouts. The boro is ok giving us the money and letting us replace the dugouts. There should be plenty of money to replace the dugouts on field 7 & 8 if we can get someone to do it at cost o One issue is that the current proposal is to put up 2 dugouts on each field and not a shared dugout between the two fields. o We could possibly build a shared dugout but that may require us to submit a new design We are going to need to do something with Field 5 however that will require that we do something with the concession stand

Reports of Baseball League Representatives   

We need a new league rep to replace Dan Dan is going to talk to Mitch about umpiring for Baseball We will appoint baseball positions at the December meeting

Reports of Softball League Representatives     

The WPISL asked if they could potentially use our fields as a contingency site for Next Years playoffs at the end of October They wanted at least 3 fields but only 3 & 6 appear to meet their size requirements They will meet in January to decide what they are going to do The Board approved them to move forward if they decide they want to. There were no dissenting votes Dave will talk to Paul about doing Softball umpiring

General Business    

There was a conversation about possibly getting new signs for the trestle telling people to stay off. o Tom said to just let him know what we want No update on the parking lot grant We need to talk about concession costs for next year There was a conversation about getting an AED for the fields. o It was generally thought to be a good idea but we would need to get 5 people trained to use it
