Embroidery Club Requirements May 2017 FEATHER SCARF Learn the techniques and master the art of embroidering on fine fabrics with this simple scarf project. Create your own design, making a traditional or infinity scarf using the ‘in-the-hoop’ piecing method, then decorate with the design ensuring a great result either side. REQUIREMENTS: -
1m Double Gauze Fabric 1m (or 4 hoopings) Washaway Stabilizer Up to 6 embroidery threads (in a shaded colour run) Bobbins wound in matching Embroidery Thread Thread Snips Fabric Control Tool Scissors Glue Pen
General Sewing Tools Required: -

Embroidery Machine & Embroidery Unit (Overlocker was used to roll hem side seams to finish) Largest hoop available for machine Size 75 Embroidery Needles Designs loaded onto USB stick or embroidery machine.
Pre-Cutting: Your scarf and design will only be successful if your cutting is correct. It is important that you cut your gauze on the grain. If you are unsure, you should have enough time in class to cut as well.
**All strips are cut parallel to the selvage 1m long.
For Hoops up to 350mm (14”) 3 x 18”Strips For Hoops up to 250mm (10”) 3 x 14” Strips For Hoops up to 200mm (8”) 3 x 12” Strips
