Bible reading is a significant factor that contributes to our growth in godliness. However, according to research recently conducted by Lifeway Christian Resources, 80% of Christians have never read through the entire Bible for themselves. Many who claim to be people of God’s Word are largely unfamiliar with it.
In 2018, we’re going to read through the Bible, together, as a church. To help us, we’ll follow a chronological plan developed by George Guthrie in Reader’s Guide to the Bible. Guthrie’s book provides brief commentary for each section of reading, as well as questions at the end of each week that would be beneficial for small group discussion. While the books cost $13-15 online, we’re able to provide it for a discounted price of $10. You can purchase your copy in our church office during the week, as well as on Sunday morning. Imagine what would happen if we all read through the Bible together this next year! Plan to join us on January 1st as we make 2018 the year of the Bible!
