Of the three core temptations, #1 - The temptation to meet a legitimate need in an illegitimate way. #2 - The temptation to presume upon God. #3 - The temptation to do the right thing in the wrong way – take shortcuts. Which one of these are you most susceptible to?

“We can be so focused on that thing that we believe God has deigned and gifted us for that our need for progress in that direction sets us up to take short-cuts.” Think of a time when you were tempted to take a short cut. What was the result?

Sometimes in order to take the next step towards a goal or ambition we are tempted to set aside what we believe in and value. What has been your experience with this temptation? How did you respond?
