May/June 2015
Dear friends, Finally, spring is here. Let the bright colors and clear sunshine of May and June inspire you to create. Visit us to see the many new fabrics, patterns and books to help you focus that inspiration. A new block of the month from Jaybird quilts, called Gravity, will be starting in June. Soon we will have the sample in the shop, but since we have limited kits available, please come to the shop for further information and pre-registration. We have another design sample using the "Cutting Cakes" method which creates a “Delectable Mountain” block and a great lap quilt using one layer cake. The Chickadee Block of the Month is a four month program that has just begun and we still have spots available.

For those of you who love clear, bright colors and simple piecing, join us for Farm Girl Vintage Sew Along from Bee in My Bonnet quilts. Go to http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.com to see all the information on how the sew along works. It began May 1 and will continue through October 9. We have the book, Farm Girl Vintage, can show you how to make the mini design wall, and have the Alphabitties Lori uses for sewing. We are creating fat quarter bundles of the same palette and most importantly block kits for each month in both the 6” and 12” size, some of which will be precut. Even if you don’t want to make the complete quilt, there will be other projects to use the blocks, some from Lori and some of our design.
