POW Nominations for 10th-11th 2015
Courage Girls 01 Red– Nichole Wenzel - #PlayingWhereTheTeamNeedsHer Consistently played at a high level every game against great competition. She impacted the game at 7 different positions throughout the weekend to help cover for injuries and team needs. Courage girls 04 Red - Anika Berger - #DeadlyBerger Had a great all-around weekend. She got forward down the flank whenever she wanted. Did a great job of defending and intercepting passes. She was dangerous in the attacking half whenever she had the ball. Courage Girls 03 Red - Eden Whiteside #WhitesideAtWAGS It was a rough weekend for the 03's but Eden was a bright spot. She competed and fought for the group in all three games at WAGS. Eden also did a great job of playing off her opposite #9. She held the ball up well and gave opposing backlines something to deal with.
Courage Girls 02 Red Girls - Aly Chirino #TheDestroyer Aly was dominant in the #6 role for the 02s and is starting to look at home in the hole. She was combative and disruptive in the midfield all weekend and was quick, incisive, and efficient in possession. Aly played a massive part in the 02's winning their group and making it to the semifinals at WAGS. Courage Girls 00 Red - Ally Cook #ConsistentCook Ally was the most consistent player for the 00 Red this weekend She played to her strengths and I cannot recall a single mistake or give-away from her in the 3 games. She topped it off with holding the defense together in the last game for a 1-0 victory! Courage Boys 02 Black - Andrew Parsons #StandingOnHisHead Andrew was instrumental in our team's success at the VA Beach tournament this past weekend as goalkeeper. He denied goal scoring opportunities throughout tournament games, including a PK to advance to the championship game. Andrew demonstrated excellent skills and leadership in the goal as our team won the championship game in overtime/PKs. Courage Boys 98 Red - Aaron Valeriano - #DifferenceMaker Has shown such a good attitude through games we have won and lost and consistently works hard in training. Aaron had multiple goals this weekend and continues to make a big difference breaking down opposing teams' defenses. Courage Boys 01 Red - Massi Belkadisa - #MessiNOMassi Played the 9 spot for us this weekend for the first time. Massi had some great goals at SAC and more importantly.....worked hard to pressure the opposing teams' backs. He was causing teams trouble all weekend. Very clear that he helped our team to a Championship this weekend.
Courage Boys 02 Red - Ellison Miranda. #CantStopScoring Scored in every game to lead his team to become EDP Cup Champions!!
Courage Boys 05 Gold- Kevin Batres. #DefensiveNightmare Kevin played mostly the 7 or 11 this past weekend and played fantastic he did a great job of tracking back and defending, winning most tackles in the midfield and becoming a nightmare for opponents.
