Attempted Robberies with a Stun Gun

Location:

200 block of 15th Street and 200 block of 21st Street Manhattan Beach

On 02/12/17 at approximately 8:30 p.m., Manhattan Beach Police Officers responded to the 200 block of 21st Street regarding an attempted street robbery. The victim stated he was walking when a vehicle pulled up next to him. A suspect exited the car, stated he had a stun gun and demanded his wallet. The victim ran away and the suspect fled in the vehicle. On 02/13/17, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Manhattan Beach Police Officers responded to the 200 block of 15th Street for another attempted robbery. This victim also stated he was walking when a vehicle pulled up next to him. Again, a suspect got out of the vehicle and demanded the victim’s wallet. The suspect then activated a stun gun (not touching the victim) which he was holding in his hand. The victim was not injured and ran to a friend’s house and called 911. The suspect vehicle description was broadcasted to other South Bay cities and it was later located by the El Segundo Police Department. Four suspects were arrested for robbery and conspiracy. Two stun guns were recovered from the suspect vehicle.
