t’s been a long time coming, but it’s been worth the wait: Honeymooning American lesbian brides can visit one of the most beautiful and exotic islands in the Caribbean without even needing a passport! Vieques is located eight miles east of the Puerto Rican mainland. To get there, you need to fly into San Juan and take the Vieques AirLink from Isla Grande Airport. This is a short and scenic plane ride in a very light plane. You can white-knuckle it, or you can just let go of your anxieties and have fun. If you’re too scared to fly in small planes, a ferry from San Juan is possible, although it’s not nearly as regular or as reliable. The place to stay on Vieques is the W Retreat & Spa.
