The Eventer’s Challenge is a “Derby” style competition with a section of 6 - 8 show jumps leading straight onto 5 - 7 efforts over cross country fences and finishing over a show jump. Competitors will go straight from the show jumping into the crosscountry phase, so a Body Protector must be worn for the entirety of the course. The maximum heights are 80cm and 95cm. The optimum time is based on the respective speeds of SJ and XC/per minute at each level. These classes will run as per SJ Table A Article 237. Faults at obstacles will be based on usual SJ and XC faults. The optimum time will not be disclosed, competitors should judge their speed accordingly. Terms and Conditions ESNZ Levy’s included in entry fees 1. Rules are based on ESNZ Eventing rules – this includes horse tack and rider attire for SJ. 2. Riders must wear an approved safety helmet, and body protectors must be worn. Back numbers will be available for collection from the office on the day. 3. The classes will run in Blackboard order. 4. Teams are nominated on the day. Riders may belong to more than one team, but on individual mounts nominating their counting score. You must enter before the class commences. Each team may contain four riders with the best 3 scores to count. 5. The organizing committee of Eventing Auckland Inc. reserves the right to make any changes/amendments to the competition or rules. 6. Riders can have full ESNZ membership, introductory membership OR pay a $10 ESNZ casual membership. Horses are not required to be ESNZ registered.

Late entries or entries on the day will incur a $10 late entry fee per horse entered 8. Mounted prize giving for all winning combinations – individual and teams. Places to 10th place in Classes 8 -11, Class 12 - Teams Competition places to 3rd. SJ attire must be worn for prize giving and sponsors photographs. Any rider who does not attend prize giving will forfeit their prize. 9. Refunds less 20% if notified before 5th December 2017.
