Classes French Braid Quilt As You Go Friday, January 27 & February 24 10:00-4:00 Instructor: Rose Mary Huber Pauls Fee:$65.00 If you like the idea of piecing a beautiful French Braid quilt, plus quilting it at the same time, this two part class is for you. You will have the quilt finished when the piecing is done! No layering and wrestling with a big quilt to get the layers quilted. Most quilt as you go techniques leave you with thick lumps where the layers of batting, backing and the quilt top are joined together, but this technique will not. The only thing that will let anyone know it was a “quilt as you go” is a narrow 1/2 inch strip of backing fabric covering the seam on the back. There’s no bulk from a seam in the batting, because there won’t be a seam like you might expect. This quilt as you go technique can be applied to most other quilt designs and will be discussed in the class. Skill Level: Advanced Beginner and up. A supply list available.
