TRANS. PLANNING WORKSHOP The Transportation Planning Workshop will be held in Burlington on April 25. This year’s Transportation Planning Workshop will examine the theme of Congestion. While traffic congestion is a relative term used across Ontario, it can be felt by all road users as the difference between expectations of the road network and how it actually performs. Whether through slower speeds, longer travel times or less predictability, congestion affects us all and this year’s Transportation Planning Workshop is themed in order to devote time and focus to this pressing issue.controls. OPC 2014 ANNUAL COURSES

CONFERENCE

The date for the 2014 Technical Traffic Operations Course has been set for March 31—April 11, 2014.

Registration is now open for the Joint OTC & CITE Conference which will be taking place in Kitchener from June 1– 4, 2013.

This course will encourage interaction between engineering and policing personnel and build an understanding of the roles that staff in each field contribute to enhancing safety on Ontario’s roads.

Taking place June 1-4, 2014 in Kitchener, ON, the conference (themed “Transportationfest-A Celebration of Innovation”) will offer the opportunity for each of our respective memberships to network and socialize with industry professionals from a broad array of fields and professions from across Canada.
