Notice of Election Canvass Board of Trustees Kountze Independent School District September 6, 2017
A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Kountze Independent School District will be held on September 6, 2017 beginning at 10:00 a.m., at the Kountze Central Office located at 160 Vaughn St., Kountze, Texas 77625. The subjects to be discussed or considered or upon which formal action may be taken are listed below. Items do not have to be taken in the same order as shown on this meeting notice. Unless removed from the consent agenda, items identified within the consent agenda will be acted on at one time.
1. Call to Order 2. Invocation 3. Canvass Tax Ratification Election Returns The canvassing authority shall prepare tabulations for the following: 1. Votes FOR each measure 2. Votes AGAINST each measure 4. Adjournment
Two board members constitute a quorum for purposes of canvassing an election. The canvass must be done in a properly-posted open meeting, with notice of the canvass posted at least 72 hours continuously before the canvass is conducted. Please remember that, under the Open Meetings Act, no other school business can be conducted at this meeting unless there is a full quorum present.
