The Costa Mesa Campus was the first of the six ROCKHARBOR campuses with a strong 17-year history. Through weekend celebration services, Life Groups, local and global engagement, and church planting, our vision is to be a church of communities following Jesus as we worship, pray, and love others in Orange County and beyond. About Life Groups ministry Life Groups are the heartbeat and the primary way we aim to pastor and disciple the ROCKHARBOR community. These groups exist to encourage one another to grow in relationship with Jesus and seek to put the Gospel on display in their neighborhoods and cities. Groups meet weekly to share life together and focus on what it means to live lives that are marked by worship, prayer, and life of mission to Orange County and beyond.

About the position This position is a full-time [40 hours/week with benefits] permanent position. This position reports to Ash Meaney, CoCampus Pastor. ROCKHARBOR Church Life Groups Pastor Job duties: Life Groups  Cast vision and craft strategies within the scope of the Life Group ministry; primarily through leader development and resourcing in the areas of becoming Kingdom People, being family, and living missionally.  Oversee the development of the ministry, including feedback, training, and guidance of staff, leaders and volunteers.  Manage, develop and equip the Life Group Ministry staff team via team meetings, one-on-one meetings, etc.  Ensure that Life Group Leaders are cared for, pastored, appreciated, and resourced via community pastors, events/trainings, and personal relationships.  Come alongside Director of Pastoral Ministries to partner in oversight of volunteer community pastors, empowering them to care for Life Group Leaders.  Oversee the training and equipping of new Life Group leaders via weekend trainings and ongoing development.  Oversee and implement effective Life Group launch process, via new groups and multiplication.  Pray towards, think creatively, and implement various types of curriculum, trainings, and other relevant methods of equipping for Life Groups.  Implement strategies for discovering and developing new leaders via existing methods (multiplication and apprenticeship), and by integrating new strategies for leader formation and development.  Build inroads for group leaders to connect with one another, community pastors, and key staff members where appropriate.  Work to further integrate Life Groups with other ministries, including but not limited to Local Mission, Prayer, Men’s Ministry, Alpha, Kingdom Essentials, Families, and Involvement.  Evaluate, enhance, and maintain structure for Life Group involvement; including but not limited to MyRH, patio area, Leader commissioning’s, and further integration with Involvement Teams.  Host semi-annual Life Group assimilation intensives (Labs, Launches, etc.) when appropriate.  Be available to pastor and advise the Life Groups team in pastoring via conflict resolution, theology, and other forms of pastoral care.  See that RHCM campus attendees are connecting to community and are pastored well. Campus Leadership  Work alongside RHCM Campus Pastor to fulfill campus-specific goals  Participate as a member of the Pastoral Team and attend CM staff and pastoral team meetings.  Know and care for campus attendees. Weekends and Special Events  Be a presence at weekend celebration services for pastoral care and coverage, as well as to represent Life Groups Ministry.  Play a significant role as a member of the prayer team at weekend celebration services.  Be present and participate in campus-specific and church-wide special events.

Qualifications  Pastoral calling on your life that is evident to your immediate community  Bachelor’s Degree in Pastoral Ministries or related field is preferred  A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in leading extensive small group programming at a church  Developed understanding of discipleship and pastoral care  Intimate and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ  Leadership, organizational and time management skills  Cooperative and servant attitude  Team player  Strong communications and discretionary skills  Willing to support policies and leadership of ROCKHARBOR
