Volunteer Background Screening
At the January 8, 2015 meeting the Santa Rosa County Board of Commissioners approved contract with TST Media, Inc. d/b/a Sport Ngin to conduct annual screenings of volunteer coaches, assistant coaches, and other volunteers at the County contracted parks and recreation facilities at rate of $7.00 per individual pursuant to applicable State Statute. The State of Florida now requires an annual screening of all coaches and assistant coaches and other volunteers participating in youth events; therefore, even current coaches will need to apply for an annual screening to be allowed to participate. Given the increased number of screenings and the increased cost per screening, Santa Rosa County will pay for this annual screening for 2015 seasons. Ms. Simmons will continue to oversee this program and will be your contact in this regard. Please direct questions to Ms. Simmons as appropriate. cc: Tammy Simmons
