OFFICIAL RULES 1. No offside’s in 3 on 3 soccer. 2. Shin guards are mandatory for all players. 3. No slide tackling. Players must stay upright and “on there feet” when going into a tackle. This does not prevent players from sliding to stop/intercept a ball, but NO contact can be made with opposing players. 4. Goal scoring: A goal may be scored only from a touch within a teams offensive half of the field. 5. No player may touch the ball inside the goal arc. If the defensive player touches the ball in the goal arc, a goal for the offensive team will result. If an offensive player touches the ball within the arc a goal kick will result. If the ball comes to a rest in the goal arc a goal kick will be given. 6. Goal kicks may be taken anywhere on the end line. 7. Game Duration: the game shall consist of two 12 minute halves separated by a two minute halftime period OR the first team to reach 12 goals, whichever comes first. Games tied after regular play shall end in a tie. During finals if tied will play 3 min sudden death period, if still tied will do penalty shots from center line. No timeouts. 8. Five Yard Rule: In all dead ball situations, defending players must stand at least five yards away from ball. If the defensive players goal area is closer than five yards, the ball shall be placed five yards from the goal area in line with the place of penalty. 9. Kick Ins: The ball shall be kicked into play from the sidelines instead of thrown in. 10. Kick Off: May be taken in any direction. 11. Free substituions during any dead ball situations 12. All players on your team must wear the same color shirt. 13. All teams are garanteed 3 games. 14. Awards for 1st and 2nd place 15. In the event that a player recieves a red card he/she will miss the next game. 16. The decision's of the tournament director are final.
