Scholarship Searching 1. The following are websites which require students to fill out profiles about themselves that go into a database, and then scholarship donors can email the students as the profiles fit their particular scholarship: Fastweb.com Scholarships.com Cappex.com 2. On the GO CENTER website (www.hudsonisd.org), there is a list from July-June of scholarships which have come across my desk from 2009-NOW. Some may not be valid anymore and some applications may be online which used to be only on paper. Students can use the websites listed and/or get more info. in the GO Center binder marked “WEBSITE Scholarships.” 3. MONTHLY SCHOLARSHIP BINDERS-Local & state-wide scholarships organized by the Scholarship DEADLINES. Students can get websites OR make copies of the applications in the GO CENTER. 4. Scholarships (BIG AQUA BINDER)-Random, all grade levels, $500-$16,000, various deadlines, applications with and without essays—WEBSITES connect to the applications (These stem from Scholarships.com)—Students just copy the websites from the binder! 5. Scholarship Books (paperbacks) which can be checked out from the GO Center:

6. Any group, organization, church, club, etc., which the students and parents/guardians are members of may offer scholarships. Students must seek these out on their own. 7. Our HHS, Hudson community, & Angelina County scholarships are covered by one General Scholarship Application which is due in Feb. (Students will be made aware at school & the application will be posted on the GO CENTER website.) 8. Scholarships will be posted on the bulletin board outside the GO CENTER starting in Jan. 2016. Students can copy websites and/or come to the GO CENTER to copy applications.
